Pearre Family Cemetery

Located in the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 7, township 45N, Range 10W

3.0 miles north of Holts Summit on Hy. 54 in a field south of KRCG-TV Station.

Charted May 1972 by rba & ekh. At that time this cemetery wass near the centerline of proposed relocation of Rte. 54. The improvement was programmed for construction in 1976 and it is more than likely that these graves were moved at that time. That location or re-location is unknown.
*Note: It has been reported that the burials represented in Pearre Family Cemetery have been relocated to Hillcrest Cemetery in Eastern Fulton, Missouri.

Fleming, John- Feb 4 1888- Dec 15 1918

Ortcotter, Nora Fleming- Jan 5 1888- Oct 29 1935

Pearre

Pearre, J. S. - June 21 1889- aged 64y 24d

Pearre, Allmarinda- Nov 25 1868- aged 35y

Pearre, infant son of J. S. and A. Pearre- nov 21 1868

Possibly two unmarked graves.

We can cross the Pearre Cemetery off, I believe. In the NW part of Hillcrest Cemetery is a group of latter day Pearre's. At the edge of the group are two older stones. One is badly eroded and is nearly unreadable. The second is badly encrusted with whatever encrusts stones. After disencrusting one face it read,

Allmarinda wife of J.S. Pearre died Nov 25, 1868 aged 32 years.

I believe that another face of the stone has engraving, but my disencrustors (fingernails) weren't up to it. So at least one member of the Pearre Cemetery is really in Hillcrest, I suspect the other Pearre's are also. I'll bet the Fleming and the Ortcotter were put with their relatives also, where ever they are. There are some Flemings in Union Hill Cem.
