    We are indebted to Mr. J. C. Renshaw, claim agent, for the following list of a portion of the war of 1812, resident in Callaway County:

Stephen H. Hyten, aged 76 years.
Jno. Jolly, aged 83 years.
Jno. B. Finley, aged 78 years.
James Davis, aged 78 years.
Jno. W. Galwith, aged 87 years.
Gideon Games, aged 82 years.  Was at the Battle of Thames, where Tecumpseh (sic) was killed.
George T. Johnson, aged 81 years.
Joel Adcock, aged 79 years.  Guarded Norfolk, Va.
Dan'l Brown, aged 78 years.
Patrick Ewing, aged 78 years.  Guarded Norfolk, Va.
Samuel Rieley, aged 80 years.
Geo. Herring, aged 77 years.
Wm. B. Garrett, aged 75 years.  Guarded Richmond, Va.
Otho McCracken, aged 81 years.
Wiley Vinson, aged 81 years.  Guarded public stores, at Peachland Choctaw nation.
Barba Collins, aged 78 years.  Fought at battle of New Orleans.
John Melone, aged 81 years.  Went to defense of Washington City.
Thos. S. Suggett, aged 75 years.  Acted as bugler in R. M. Johnson's cavalry from Ky.
Joel Palmer, aged 74 years.  Fought at battle of Bladensburg and Baltimore.
Jesse Glover, aged 81 years.  Guarded Norfolk, Va.
Archibald Allen, aged 76 years.  Guarded Norfolk, Va.

In addition to the above we append the following names:
John Burdett, aged 83 years.
Robert Brandon, aged 73 years.
George H. Hopkins, aged 77 years.

    We learn that there are in this county, three widows who are entitled to pensions--having married prior to the treaty of peace in 1816.
