James W. Cole Dead

James Wm. (Bud) Cole , son of David and Jane Cole was born in Montgomery county, Mo., January 21, 1859, and died at his home in New Florence, Nov. 17, 1933, aged 74 years, 9 months, 26 days. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was married January 4, 1888, to Miss Emily Tate of Steadman, Mo., and had lived a large part of his life on a farm near Readsville, MO. He moved to Fulton, MO. in 1911, and to New Florence Sept. 21, 1922, where he had since lived.

Besides his widow he is survived by an adopted son, Charles Fee, of St. Louis, who has been a member of the family since 1899, also a brother, Jeff Cole, a sister, Mrs. Dorcas Dixon, six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Becoming a member of the Antioch Christian church near Williamsburg early in life, he had lived a good Christian life, well liked by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in New Florence Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. R. Bayley, and burial was in the New Florence Cemetery.
