DEATH OF MRS. J. W. KETTLE

Miss Althea Hays was born in Zanesville, Ohio, August 25, 1857, and died after a severe and lingering illness of two years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Artie White, near Buell, Mo., with whom she had been living for the last two years, and who tenderly and lovingly cared for her during the last days of her life.

In the year 1878 she was united in marriage to Mr. John W. Kettle. To this union five daughters were born, all of whom survive her, and all of whom were present at her funeral. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.

In early life Mrs. Kettle united with the Christian church and ever lived a true faithful Christian life. She was indeed a true loving mother and grandmother.

The funeral services were held at New Providence church Monday morning, Oct. 20, 1930, conducted by Rev. R. E. McQuie in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends, and her body laid to rest in the New Providence Cemetery.
