The following is from the Montgomery Standard newspaper of Montgomery City, MO:
August 23, 1940 p. 1/1
Henrietta Gill Pogue, daughter of Dr. Presley and Mary Jane Gill, was born four miles from Troy MO, May 18, 1867, and died at her home in Montgomery City, MO, August 19, 1940.
She was married to Calvin Pogue in March 1891, at Mexico, MO. Mr. Pogue died in 1916. Mrs. Pogue was a member of the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Weeks, a sister, Mrs. J. E. O'Donnell, Sr. and a brother Lewis Gill, all of this city.
There are also several nieces and nephews who will mourn her departure.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. Bensberg of the Montgomery City Presbyterian Church, and interment was in the city cemetery.
