NENIE BOONE
Mrs. Nenie Boone, 90, of Fulton died Sunday, February 18, 1990, at the Kingdom Nursing Home in Fulton. She was born February 4, 1900, in St. Alburn, Mo., the daughter of the late Joseph and Magdelena Polacek Blackburn. She married Leo "Buck" Boone on September 22, 1920. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1979.
Survivors include two son, L. Vincent Boone and Wayne Boone, both of Fulton; three daughters, Mrs. Zeta Potts of Fulton, Mrs. Nina Yocum of St. James, Mo., and Mrs. Lena Fetterhoff of Mexico; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brenda Potts.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boone will be conducted by the Revs. Don Wardlaw, Isham Holland and Kevin Fetterhoff at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, at the Church of God Holiness in Fulton. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fulton.
Memorial may be made to the Kingdom Nursing Home.

BOONE
Leo Buck Boone, 79, of Mexico died Tuesday, July 10th at the Audrain Medical Center. Mr. Boone was born in Callaway County on October 10, 1899, the son of R. B. Boone and Lucy Tate Boone. He married Nenie Blackburn on September 22, 1920. She survives at the home.
Survivors include the following children; Vince Boone of Fulton, Nina Yocum of St. James, Wayne Boone of Fulton, Lena Fetterhoff of Mexico and Zeta Potts of Auxvasse; three brothers, John Boone of Kansas City, David Boone of St. Louis and Gailey Boone of Mokane; one sister Mrs. David Bridges of Fulton a stepsister, Mrs. David Bridges of Fulton ( there is an obvious error here, Mrs. David Bridges is listed as the sister and stepsister. This newspaper article need to be checked to determine what is correct); ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
The Rev. Isham Holland will conduct services for Mr. Boone at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13 at the Church of God Holiness on Second Street in Fulton.
Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation was scheduled for after 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at Maupin's Funeral Home in Fulton.

VINCENT BOONE
L. Vincent Boone, 75, of Fulton, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. He was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Portland to Leo "Buck" and Nenie Blackburn Boone. He married Ruth Gruber on June 14, 1941. She survives.
Survivors include: one son, Garrell L. Boone of La Vegas, Nev., on grandson and one granddaughter; one brother, Wayne Boone of Fulton; three sisters, Nina Holland, Zeta Potts of Fulton and Lena Fetterhoff of Mexico; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Boone worked for several years for Lynn H. Maughs dealership and served as Callaway County Collector for 1979 - 1987. He was a member of the Women's Democratic Club of Fulton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with the Rev. Isham Holland and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Alvie Marie Callaway
Alvie Marie Callaway, 66, of Montgomery City, Missouri, died on Monday January 13, 1986 at the Columbia Regional Health Center, Columbia, MO
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 1:30 p . M . At the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. The Rev. Mike McGuire, Pastor of the Montgomery City Christian Church officiated and interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. The organist was Mrs. Carol Ahern and pallbearers were Albert McCune, Rev. Thomas Smith, Marvin Deeker, John Miller, Joe Worland, and Mike Palmer, Jr.
Mrs. Callaway was born in Montgomery County, Mo, on Dec. 16, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Earl Lee and Anna Elizabeth Saladin Blackburn.
She was married on March 25, 1946 to James P. Callaway, who survives at the home in Montgomery City. Other survivors include; two daughters Mrs. James (Linda K.) Spires of Wright City, Mrs. Robert (Karen Lynn) Broz of Route 1 Centralia; four granddaughters , Mary Kay and Ann Marie Spires, Amanda Kay and Debra Lynn Broz; five sisters Mrs. Clinton (Crystal) Dial, Arcadia Kansas; Mrs. Roy (Helen) Callaway, Montgomery City, Mrs Owen (June) Doyle, St. Louis, Mrs. Evelyn Winkler, Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Bonnie Bell, Kansas City, MO; and four brothers Delbert Blackburn of Montgomery City, Edwin Blackburn , Torrance CA, Elbert Blackburn, Laddonia and Bennie Blackburn of Metamora, IL.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Ruby River and by an infant brother.
Mrs Callaway was a member of the Montgomery City Christian Church and The Christian Women's Fellowship of the Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, the Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary, the Squircle Eights Square Dance Club and the Montgomery County Womens's Democratic Club.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery City Christian Church.

Mrs. M. A. Darnes Dead
Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Marlow of New Florence and Miss Ethel Ball of Montgomery City, went to St. Louis Friday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Marlow’s mother , Mrs. M. A. Darnes, on Sunday, interment of remains being made in the Bell Fountain cemetery, in that city.
Mrs. Darnes was born 83 years ago in Callaway county, her maiden name being Margaret Blackburn . She died on Thursday, July 15th from an attack of heart failure brought on by the excessive heat. Up to within a few moments of her death she was in moderaltely good health and was about to dine shortly.
Her husband died shortly after the Civil War. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. T. M. Marlow of New Florence, Mrs. Amanda Carrico of St. Louis, Mrs. N. O. Minear of Springfield, OH; and Mrs. P. J. Gregory of St. Louis, all of whom were in attendance at her funeral besides a large number of grandchildren.
There was also present at the burial a grandchild of the fifth generation. The little babe was the daughter of the granddaughter of Mrs. Carrico. All five generations were present.
Mrs. Darnes was well known to many in Montgomery County, particularly in the vicinity of New Florence and Hancock’s Prairie. Mrs. Darnes stayed at T. M. Marlow’s last summer and was about to make another visit here this summer.

Mrs. Eunice B. Debo, 22, Dies here Sunday
Rites for young Mexico woman will be at Baptist Church
Mrs Eunice Ruth Blackburn Debo, 22 year old Mexico resident, died at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Audrain Hospital after a week's illness. Mrs. Debo, who was with the Crown Laundry, resided with her sister, Mrs. George Wyss, and family, at 310 West Pearson Street.
Born November 6, 1914, at Lewistown, MO, Mrs. Debo was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Blackburn, who later moved to Mexico to make their home. Mrs. Blackburn is the former Miss Georgia Hayes and she and her husband are natives of Callaway County. Mrs. Debo's only child, Charles W. Debo, died last August 6, at the age of a year and a half, and she is survived by her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Durfee of New York City and Mrs. Wyss, and two brothers, Carl and John Blackburn of this city.
Mrs. Debo was a devoted member of the Baptist Church and prominent in its activities. Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning by the Rev. Lawrence Fitzgerald, pastor, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
The Ledger with the many friends of Mrs. Debo and her family, extend sympathy. (The child's age is incorrect in this article. Eunice's place of birth is listed as Lewistown, we believe that this is incorrect, the correct place of birth was Lewiston which was located in Callaway Co., MO.)

Mrs. Eunice Ruth Blackburn Debo died Sunday at hospital here.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning for Mrs. Eunice Ruth Blackburn Debo, 22 year old Mexicoan, who died Sunday. Mrs Debo died at 2:00 Sunday afternoon at the Audrain Hospital after a week's illness.
The funeral rites will be held at 10:30 at the First Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Debo was a member, with the Rev. Lawerence Fitzgerald, pastor, officiating and burial following in Elmwood Cemetery here.
Mrs Debo was born Eunice Ruth Blackburn on November 6, 1914, the daughter of B. R. and Georgia Hayes Blackburn, at Lewistown, MO. Her parents, both of whom survive her, were natives of Callaway County and now reside here.
She was married January 15, 1931, to Charles Ivan Debo of Mexico. A son Charles W. Debo, was born March 20, 1932, and died August 6, 1936.
Two brothers, Carl Blackburn and John Blackburn, both of Mexico, survive, as do two sisters, Mrs. George Wyss of Mexico and Mrs. Everett Durfee of New York City. Mrs. Durfee is now here.

This is the obituary for Charles Everett Foster. It's from the Daily Messenger and News, Caldwell, Kansas.
Charles Everett Foster was born at Reform, Mo., January 18, 1881 and departed this life at his home in Coalgate, Ok., April 8, 1935, at the age of 54 years, three months, and 20 days.
He lived with his parents until he was 21 years of age. At that time he began work for the Rock Island Railroad Company, working at different points in Missouri and later coming to Caldwell, Kansas., where he worked as engineer for 25 years, always being faithful to the task that was his to perform.
He was married in young manhood to Miss Eva Partee. To this union twin girls were born, Norma and Naomi.
Mrs. Foster passed away in 1918 with the flue. Naomi departed this life at the age of 13 years.
On August 18, 1920, he was married to Mrs. Myrtle Ethridge of Monett, Mo. To this union were born two children, Ruby Florence and Charles Leo.
Mr. Foster gave up his work with the railroad several years ago due to poor eyesight.
He was converted 12 years ago and since that time has spent his life in trying to win souls for the Master.
At the time of his death he was pastor of the Seventh Day Church of God at Coalgate, Ok.
He lived his work and gave his strength to the very last in that great cause. He trusted God in strength for both body and soul, telling his family and friends that he was ready to go, that God was through with him and his work on earth was finished and that he had complete victory over everything.
He leaves to mourn his death, his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Foster; and three children, Mrs. Norma Gibbs of Phoenix, Arizona., Florence and Charles Jr. at home; three step children, Mrs. Carl Collins of Ponca City, Ok., Miss Hildreth Ethridge of Ponca City, Ok., Herbert Ethridge, who is with his mother.
Mr. Foster's father and mother preceded him in death several years ago. He has one sister and two brothers; Mrs. Pearl Werner of Herington, Kansas., Elmo Foster of Topeka, Kansas., and Clarence Foster of Cartigo, Calif.; He leaves a hosts of relatives and friends.

DEATH OF PHILEMON FOSTER
Philemon Foster, about 65 years old, died Saturday evening at his home in Mokane. He had been ill for several months. Mr, Foster was Constable of St. Aubert Township and had held that office for the past 10 or 12 years. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.

MRS. ROSA FOSTER DEAD
Mrs. Rosalie Foster, widow of the late Philip Foster of Mokane, died Saturday at her home in Caldwell, Kansas. Burial took place Monday at Caldwell.
Mrs. Foster, who was 67 years old, was born near Readsville, Missouri, December 16, 1857. Her maiden name was Miss Rosalie Blackburn, she being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Blackburn, of Readsville.
After her marriage to Philip Foster she moved to Mokane to reside and lived there for many years. A few years ago she went to Caldwell, Kansas, to make her home with her son, Charles Foster. Her husband died about two years ago.
Mrs. Foster is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Werner of Herrington, Kansas, and three sons, Charles of Caldwell, Kansas and Elmo and Clarence Foster, both of Topeka, Kansas. One daughter, Mrs Jessie May Taylor, wife of John F. Taylor of Mokane, preceded her in death several years ago. Mrs. Foster also leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. S. M. Wood, Springfield, Missouri [this is an error, Ellanora Blackburn Wood died on Jan.12, 1923]; Mrs. E. L. Steppleman, Jefferson City; R. P. Blackburn and W. L. Blackburn of Isbell Station, Missouri, and J. T. Blackburn, of Portland, Missouri.
Mrs. Foster was a member of the Methodist Church and was a good Christian woman. She leaves many friends to mourn her passing. The Missourian extends sympathy to the bereaved.

GEORGIA A. GIBSON
Georgia A. Gibson, 92, of Fulton, formerly of Portland, died on Friday, Jan. 31, 1997, at the Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton.
(She was married to Robert Oliver Blackburn, who died on Feb. 9, 1946)
She was born in Readsville, on November 8, 1904, to George William and Jennie Bell (Neff) Abbott. She married Zedrick L. Gibson on July 28, 1956. He died on Feb. 27, 1993.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Eastern Star and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Portland. Surviving is one cousin, Ruby Pasley of Fulton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanalie Blackburn. Services will be at 19 a.m. on Monday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Father Ed Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Serve Senior Center in Fulton.

ARTHUR HAAK, FORMER CITY CONTROLLER DIES
Arthur H. Haak, 72, of 647 Geneva, former city controller, died Sunday at his home. He became controller in 1933 after having been in the city's employ 10 years and served as head of the controller's office until his retirement in 1955.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Recessional under direction of Kiefer & Eyerick Mortuary, with the Rev. C. C. Baldwin officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn.
He leaves his widow, Winnie M. of Glendale; two daughters, Mrs. Wylie Eaton of Glendale and Mrs. Frank Garner of Bakersfield; three sons, Victor of Glendale, Kenneth of New York City and Donald of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; four sister, Maude Meanea of Idaho, Clara Mercure and May Gromm, both of Colorado and Augusta Hughes of Georgia and a brother George L. of Hillsborough.
Mr. Haak was a native of Denver, Colo. He was a veteran of World War I.

Mrs. Rickie B. Krebs, 78, of 1708 Spruce, was found dead at the home Friday. She was born in St. Auberts, MO., and lived in Kansas City 37 years. Surviving are her husband, Charles W. Krebs, Sr., of Pico Rivera, Calif., three sons, Charles W. Krebs, Jr., Arthur Krebs, and Howard A. Krebs, all of Los Angeles; a daughter Mrs. Selma McHatton of Los Angeles; three brothers, Walter Blackburn, Torrance, Calif., Uel Blackburn, Long Beach, Calif., and Mink Blackburn, Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Haak, Glendale, Calif., and Mrs Minnie (Nenie) Boone, Fulton, Mo., and one grandchild. Services and burial will be in Glendale, Calif.

Harold C. Love
FULTON - Harold C. Love, 67, of New Bloomfield, died Saturday at his home. Services were held at 2 P.M. today at Maupin Funeral Chapel in Fulton. The Rev. Melvin Underwood officiated and burial was in Bethel Cemetery at Readsville.
Mr. Love was born February. 21, 1922, at Bachelor, a son of Robert W. and Laura Barker Love. He was married at Mount Home, Ark., in September 1951 to Viola Blackburn, who survives at the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Harold Ray Love of Fulton and Larry Dean Love of New Bloomfield; two sisters, Lela Biggs of Fulton and Dorothy Gilman of Auxvasse; three brothers, Randall and Raymond Love of Auxvasse and Floyd Love of Fulton; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A brother, Paul Love, preceded him in death.

Viola May Love, 88, of Fulton, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1911, to the late Bertal Roy and Georgia May (Hays) Blackburn. She married Harold Cecil Love on Sept. 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1989.
Survivors include: two stepsons, Harold Ray Love and Larry Dean Love, both of New Bloomfield: (there is a mistake here, Harold Ray Love lives in the Millersburg, MO area.); eight step-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and one nephew.
She is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
She worked for the Callaway County Ambulance District and Fulton State Hospital for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellsville.
Grave side services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Cemetery in Readsville, with Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.

Leora J. Meyer, 80 of Wellsville died at 12:30 A.M. today, Thursday, April 1, 1993, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the services at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1912, in Mineola, to Roy and Georgia Hays Blackburn. On Aug. 23, 1930, she married George L. "Pete" Wyss in Moberly. Mr. Wyss died July 27, 1970; and she married John Meyer on Aug. 3, 1975, in Mexico.
Mrs. Meyer lived in Mexico for several years; however, she also lived in Wellsville an before that in Auxvasse for 20 years. She was a member of the Auxvasse Christian Church.
Mrs. Meyer is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Doris) Bartolacci of Columbia; a brother, John Blackburn of Pacifica, Calif.; a sister, Viola Love of New Bloomfield; and three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A son and daughter preceded her in death as well as a brother,Carl Blackburn;and sister, Eunice Debo.

Mrs. Rosalie Porter, resident of near Wellsville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 1944, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude Wylie.
On Jan. 3 she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered.
Rosalie Organ Porter, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Jane (Blackburn) Organ, was born near Readsville, Missouri on November 24, 1865. After spending her early childhood in that community she came to the Wellsville vicinity where she had since resided
On Nov. 2, 1887 she was married to Wallace Porter of near Wellsville. They became the parents of four children; Maude, Carl, Lena and Dollie. Mr. Porter and one daughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Porter united with the Bethel Methodist church near Readsville in early life, and later transferred her membership to the Mount Carmel Methodist church. She was true and faithful to her belief through life.
She is survived by two daughters and one son. Mrs. Maude Wylie, Mrs. John Reagan and Carl Porter, all of near Wellsville; 16 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Two of her grandsons are serving in the U. S. military forces.
Funeral services were held at the Kuhner Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by the Rev. J. C. McDaniel. Interment was in the Wellsville Cemetary.

Services for Mrs. Wesley (Ruby) River, 60, of Route 1, Montgomery City, were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Montgomery City United Methodist-Presbyterian Church of which she was a Member. Burial was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Rev. Charles Millner officiated.
Mrs. River was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Montgomery County, a daughter of Earl Lee and Elizabeth Saladin Blackburn. She was married on March 29, 1945 to Wesley A. River who survives at the home.
Other survivors are one son, Gary River of Montgomery City; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Carol) Worley of Mexico; four sisters, Mrs Clinton (Crystal) Dial, Arcadia, Kan., Mrs. Roy (Helen) Callaway and Mrs. James (Alvie) Callaway, both of Montgomery City, Mrs. Owen (June) Doyle, St. Louis, Mrs. Evelyn Winkler and Mrs Gene (Bonnie) Bell, both of Kansas City; four brothers, Delbert L. Blackburn, Montgomery City, Edwin of the state of CA, Elbert of Laddonia, Bennie of Peoria, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Elvin.

Dies in Columbia (John)Funeral services were held this morning at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia for Mrs. J. W. Sappington, 58 of Jonesburg who died Friday at the University Medical Center. She had been ill for several years.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.
Mrs. Sappington was the former Miss Brooxie Mae Blackburn was born Aug. 16, 1903 to William and Addie Blackburn in Boone County. She was married Dec. 15, 1923. She was a member of the Jonesburg Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; now of Rocheport; a daughter Mrs. Thomas Fann, Gibson City, Il; Four brothers; Porter Blackburn and Roy Blackburn of Columbia; Winfred and James Blackburn , both of Yakima Washington; one sister Mrs. E. E. McBain , Columbia; and two grandchildren.

Andrew M. "Happy" Taylor, age 91, a lifelong resident of Mokane, Missouri, died Friday December 6, 1996 at the Riverview Nursing Center In Mokane. At the time of his death he was the oldest member of the United Methodist Church of Mokane and of the Mokane Masonic Lodge #612. He was born September 2, 1905 In Mokane, a son of the late John and Jesse (Foster) Taylor. He was married on April 21, 1928, In New Franklin, Missouri to Velma Stocker. She survives.
Other survivors Include one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann Ewing and her husband Irven of Mokane. Two grandsons, James Andrew Ewing of Tebbetts and Irven Craig Ewing of Mokane. Six great grandchildren; Irven F. Ewing, Stacey, Christine, Trista, Amber and Justin Ewing. One sister, Mae Taylor Hafner of Fulton and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded by one sister, Blanche Taylor Wren and four brothers, Harry, John V., Ray and Joe Taylor.
Mr. Taylor worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for Menefee Construction Co. He was a Member of the Mokane United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Mokane Masonic Lodge # 612 since 1927 and had served as Past Master of the Lodge.
